In order to provide compassion to others, we must understand what it is. The word means “to suffer with” and is an emotional response of sympathy. But, it’s not just a feeling. The feeling is combined with an overwhelming desire to help! Because we have compassion, we want to take action and help the person who is suffering.

BCHFS MISSION STATEMENT: Providing Christ-centered services that protect, heal and restore.
Baptist Children's Home and Family Services has been caring for children and families in need since 1918. While the situations are unique for each child and family, nearly all can point to the breakdown of the family as the main reason they come to BCHFS for help. Our three main ministries (Baptist Children's Home, Angels' Cove, and Pathways Counseling) are designed to work together with the common goal of producing healthier individuals and stronger families.
